Dr. Andie Silva’s (she/her) is associate professor of English and Deputy Chair at York College and associate professor of Digital Humanities and Deputy Director of the MA in DH at the Graduate Center, CUNY.

Her research interests lie at the intersection of book history and print culture, popular culture, and digital humanities. Her monograph, The Brand of Print: Marketing Paratexts in the Early English Book Trade (Brill, 2019), analyzes the title pages and prefatory materials written by printers and publishers to build their audience and develop recognizable, unique brands. Her work has appeared in a range of journals such as The Journal of Interactive Teaching and PedagogyAppositions, and Changing English. She also has a forthcoming edited collection (co-edited with Scott Schofield), Digital Pedagogy in Early Modern Studies: Method and Praxis (Iter Press).

Dr. Silva is also the editor in chief of SHARP News, the open-access digital newsletter for the Society for the History of Reading, Authorship, and Publishing.
